A 5-minute nightly self-care reset
Most self-care advice assumes a free hour. When you're running a home, the honest window is five minutes — so the routine has to fit inside it.

Pick a cue, not a checklist
Your body responds to repetition, not variety. One scent, one light level, one order of steps — done nightly — starts to work within a week.
A checklist of six steps will be abandoned by Thursday. A cue takes seconds.
Warm, dim, quiet
Drop the light first. Bright overhead light is the single biggest thing keeping you alert.
Then add one scent to the room and leave it running. Lavender if the goal is sleep; eucalyptus if the room feels stuffy.
Finish on skin, not a screen
Cleanse properly and put something on damp skin. It takes under a minute and gives your hands something to do that isn't scrolling.
That's the whole five minutes. Repeat it tomorrow.

The cue this routine depends on is scent, and a 500ml diffuser runs all evening on one fill — so you're never refilling it at bedtime.
